Zirconium is a biologically compatible material that excludes allergic reactions and gingival recession near the crown. Being a highly esthetic material, the zirconium oxide-based crown carcass provides any possibility to repeat tooth visual naturalness. Such ceramic transparence and color characteristics are close to those of the natural tooth tissue. The absence of metal in mouth should also be noted. The classic metal ceramic crown carcass is made of the cobalt-chromium or nickel-chromium alloy producing oxidative reactions under the saliva action, whereas the acid medium is favorable for microorganism reproduction that may result in the gum inflammation. High zirconium oxide hardness warrants high strength and resistance to cracking – all these indices exceed by the order of magnitude the similar ones for other non-dismountable prosthetic materials. Certain production stages include the use of the CAD/CAM technology (scanner, milling machine) and, thus, provide maximal accuracy and construction durability.
Smooth and dense homogeneous surface prevents the dental tartar formation that affects favorably both the gum health and the whole organism condition.
